Our consulting skills training methodology is anchored by the following concepts:
Consultation: link to strategy
This stage focuses on ensuring strategic fit of our solutions. We also seek to identify the training needs: what COMPETENCIES i.e. knowledge, skills are required against what presently exist, the TALENT ENGAGEMENT structures and systems to develop the competences and the CULTURAL environment to enable skills deployment.
Training Design
We use our understanding from the needs assessment and experience in content sampling and curriculum development to design course contents, class size, profile trainees and determine class composition, select delivery methods, identify facilitators, design monitoring & evaluation tools etc for effective learning and knowledge exchange.
Training Delivery
Adults learn best by doing: we therefore make our training as participative as possible so that that best results can be achieved. We use a combination of PowerPoint presentations, group exercises, role plays, experience sharing, case studies, job aids etc to deliver our training programmes.
Monitor Effectiveness
Training is an investment so we measure its returns. We monitor progress toward desired competencies. We do immediate/ proximal evaluation: assess knowledge acquisition at the point of delivery and effectiveness of our delivery methods. We also do distal evaluation: assess transfer of learning unto the job.
